Apparently, according to Yahoo, Microsoft is as clever and deceptive as the buff and gun-toting Angelina Jolie in the new film "Wanted." BoomTown will get to that later. But with Yahoo shares hovering close to $20 a share, Microsoft has certainly got to be thrilled that the sweetened search ad deal it is currently preparing--including forking over about $10 billion for one-third of the company--is getting cheaper by the minute.

Apple has filed a patent for a new multi-touch gesture language that will allows us program gestures into our computers. Similar to the zoom and rotate gestures currently programmed into the iPhone and MacBook multi-touch touchpads, the new patent describes a Sign Language for touch screens, which uses a minimum of twenty five chords, thirty one combinations and thirteen different motions to tell the OS what it is you want to do.

Why do video card makers (eg: ATI and nVidia) have to use big numbers for their cards? (eg: ATI's are 4850 and 4870, etc. are a couple. nVidia's are like 7600, 8600, 9600, etc.) Can't we just go back to the old days of nVidia GeForce 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on and so forth.
